I don't understand how someone could have had such a poor idea for a restaurant. They sure do have some friends making posts here, though. The building is a dilapidated ramshackle mildewed shack. There are just a few spaces in the unpaved lot, and you may pass a kid on the way to the dumpster hauling stinky bags of garbage to the dumpster, from the garbage-strewn dirty back porch. I was dragged there inside on a rainy day by a companion, and around the screwy ramp deck to go inside the shack, the stench of cat and/or rat urine was pretty strong, emanating from the scrubby remains of what may have been a patch of grass at one time. The cramped interior smelled bad, so I opted to sit on the weathered old black mildewy patio deck with it's moldy stained awning. This deck is actually in an alley between two other dilapidated shacks, so the atmosphere doesn't circulate the various foul odors away. The servers are friendly, but slow, sickly looking and frankly kind of creepy. Your drink will be $2.50, and refills come in different style glasses or plastic cups, and you have to ask for ice. Everything on the menu is more than twice what it's comparable restaurant value is. The recipes are ersatz Hawaiian or fusion, basically somebody's poor idea that if you take things that taste good separately like shredded vegetables and dried fruit and slop them together they will somehow magically turn into something that tastes better than what you might scrape from a clogged kitchen garbage disposer. I was cautioned that my necessarily overcooked (and old frozen-cooked tasteless and mealy) burger would be "real juicy", but the sloppy wetness was just excess water from the wilted greens on it. With lunch for two with a couple of skimpy nothing sides coming to around forty dollars, I'd say this was pretty bad, even for Ozona. Molly Goodheads is right across the alley, and not anywhere near as bad, if you are hankering for a bad overpriced meal in a dumpy place.

Great veggie food & it was really good. My coworkers took me here (since I am the only veg they were trying to be nice). I can not wait to come back with my boyfriend.

The moment we talked into the cafe, we were greeted with hugs from the owner. The menu offered many healthy and organic options. The Maui Wowie wrap was delicious and filling. The Ohana slaw is a must! The patio area was a nice place to enjoy our lunches under the trees. I will admit our server was not very friendly which contradicted the overall feel of the "warm and fuzzy" establishment. Our server seemed to rush us which took away from the relaxed lunch. Aside from the subpar server, I'd recommend the cafe.

Really cute place that reminded me of Oahu. Good beer selection (had Bison Chocolate stout). I didn't get a chance to eat since my husband and I had eaten before we joined friends to listen to live music there but they seemed to have a good selection of vegan/vegetarian options.

This place is great! Lot's of Aloha from the owners and staff the minute you walk in. Service is good and prompt. Place has a nice comfy feel to it, but the best part is the very tasty and healthy food. I've been here numerous times and love coming back. Try the Loco Moco one of my favorite all times meals especially so since I too am from Hawaii and can appreciate their take on it. Other menu items are also excellent, this is a must try place for anyone looking for a new place to eat.......Mahalo, Teresa, Mom and staff! You Da Best!.......Murakami-san!

Tasty! The owner was SO nice. And what's better is she was actually from Hawaii, born and raised. Gotta love that. I got the homemade veggie burger and it was nom nom nom! Loved it. I will totally go back and recommend this place. I did not get to stay for the hula show (Fridays at 7pm I think--people reserve their seats days in advance just FYI), but I love that they have it and I have heard that it is great. Lots of healthy options, which I love and they cater to gluten free and sugar free diets for those of us who are conscious about what we eat. Very nice atmosphere with down to earth staff and owner. Great place overall.

West Coast's best kept secret! Awesome organic food. Lots of love put into every aspect of this restaurant by it's Hawaiian owners. Live music and Hulu dancing on the outdoor patio on weekends. A must visit for me whenever I visit my family in Florida.

Food great! I had the Quinoa black bean burrito twice in two goings. The popover with macademia nuts was perfect! Service is very friendly but spoty. This place is for those that enjoy a meal...and are not on a tight schedule. Expect a hug from mom. Great place especially if you are looking for gluten free and/or vegan! I gave it three stars because we had a very delayed smoothie (we had to ask for it multiple times...it ended up being on the house).

Awesome restaurant!! Great location and great food that is also great for you. The owners and staff are very kind and are authentically interested in your dining experience. Lots of organic options. You will not be disappointed!

Where do I begin? The gem of Palm Harbor healthy and fresh dining. Service is always stellar - and everyone is super friendly. For those with Celiac's it's even more terrific - offering numerous delicious options across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Highly recommended. Teresa is the owner of Ohana Cafe in Palm Harbor, You feel like you are home - you feel like you are family from the big aloha greeting when you walk in the front door to the warm and pleasant service that you will receive. My fav is the Delicious pancakes and Organic Macadamia Nut Sauce with red potato home fries.

We have brunch here almost every weekend. They now have homemade kefir that is to die for. I'm really hooked on their kale omelet. LOVE Ohana!

Ah yes please! All day long I will come here. The mahi mahi tacos are sublime. Perfect organic wine pairing, from Sicily to boot!

I've been meaning to come here since they opened. Today afforded the opportunity. I've been to Oahu, I've had Mac Nut Pancakes and I've been craving them ever since.. and today, I had them again. they were Ono Grinds! The weather was perfect for sitting outside on the patio deck, listening to the conversations that flowed around me while I ate my food, and sipped my tea. The service was attentive and the food was fresh. The menu was a bit daunting for a dyed in the wool omnivore like myself, but if you're a vegetarian or are health conscious, visit Ohana Cafe, Give a little Aloha and Mahalo to the wait staff. I will be back!

WOW. I just had an amazing breakfast at Ohana Cafe. Real Hawaiian food amazing. I went with the macadamia nut pancakes with turkey bacon and red potatoes. It was absolutely delicious and the best part is it's only 10 minutes from where I live. The owner and staff are so pleasant and helpful on explaining the various dishes on the menu. I'm so impressed it's almost dinner time. So it's back there for a real Hawaiian burger or their famous loco moco. Aloha

Love this place. Service is very good, the food is sublime. Try the keifers, the Loco moco breakfast bowl, the gluten free popovers! All are fabulous.

One of my best friends and I love Hawaii because it has a special place in our hearts. So we were happy to find Ohana Cafe on Yelp, even if it was quite a drive from where we live. We finally did make it out there and thoroughly enjoyed our meal! It's a little hard to spot, since it's small and next to the post office, but at least there is parking available for customers. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with an "Aloha!" Even when other staff came through, they said aloha to me. Then the lady who I assume is the owner came through and gave me an aloha AND a hug! Talk about aloha spirit. The service remained super friendly throughout that I felt so comfortable with them all. I love that several of the menu items refer to Hawaii and the language. They really like to stick to their theme. The music playing when I was there was Jack Johnson. Not exactly island music, but good for a chill environment. I do wish they had some local Hawaiian music playing. I love that stuff! I specifically came for the pancakes with macadamia nut sauce, hoping to relive my experience at Boots 'n Kimo's in Hawaii. I ordered the Ohana breakfast, which is the pancakes, turkey bacon, and your choice of brown rice, white rice, or red potatoes. I chose the red potatoes. The pancakes were regular, but the sauce really does it. Very sweet and a nice consistency, so that it's not too runny or too thick. I felt good about eating my nitrate-free turkey bacon, and the potatoes were seasoned with herbs instead of salt so as to be healthier. Best part of my meal, though, was my mango juice. Oh my! So sweet, super mango flavor. I had to ration it out so I didn't gulp it all down at once. Although the actual food on the menu isn't necessarily Hawaiian, they ARE healthy options. So don't feel guilty when you come eat here!

Okay, I need to update the Yelp world. The last time we were here, we kept seeing these popovers being delivered around the restaurant......and this morning we decided to stop by for breakfast and see what all the fuss was about. WOWZA! This popover breakfast is amazing. I want to eat it every single day of my life. Two perfect strips of bacon(possibly turkey bacon?) a organic egg, some fruit, and the two most amazing Popovers ever.... Did I mention this breakfast is served all day AND it's gluten free. Throw in a free hug received on arrival(yes, this really happened) and I think I'll be in a good mood all day. Cheers Ohana for the perfect start to my weekend!!!

A taste of Ohana in Ozona! I thought I'd have a hard time convincing the BF to try this place since it is not your traditional breakfast spot. Surprisingly, he loved it! We've biked the Pinellas Trail here twice now. We both love the pancakes with Macadamia sauce and the onolicious bacon omelette was yummy! Cold brewed iced coffee with coconut creamer is perfect on a hot day! Still looking forward to trying their popovers. The staff is very welcoming, even when we walked in covered in sweat (from the cycling). They didn't offer us a hug tho, I wonder why?

My new favorite breakfast/brunch place! Finally an eatery that focuses on real fresh food aimed at the general populace. Excellent fresh cooked food and something for everyone. From pancakes to breakfast bowls, if you can't find fantastic flavors here then you have no taste buds. Oh, and they have an extensive list of organic wines and beers. Can't wait to go again!

Love the casual outdoor vibe of Ohana Café in Ozona, FL. I couldn't help but keep smiling because everyone is so nice, and free hugs and Hang Lose is the way of life here. Teresa, the owner is wonderful as well. Hawaiian shows are at 7PM on Friday nights with a beautiful hula girl Noelani. She does a great job at her hula dance along with wearing beautiful outfits, having great music and interaction from everyone. Food was great, healthier and different than I would usually find on any menus at other restaurants. Some of the entrees we tried were the Ohana's Kalua Chicken and Cabbage, Spencer's Ozonalicious Mahi Burrito, The Hawaii 5-0 Buffalo Burger, Pancakes with Macadamia Nut Syrup, and the Pop Overs. The Hawaii 5-0 Burger, and the Popover with Macadamia Nut Syrup were the best of them all. I really wanted the Strawberry Lime Ale, but they were out of that. I had a glass of wine which was good, but small. Hopefully they will have more later. If not, there are other drinks such as sodas, wines, beer, smoothies, juices, and regular or flavored waters. One concern to state is that if you are on a time constraint this place may not be the place for you. On the other hand, if you are on island time, just absorb it, and enjoy every moment.

Hawaiian flare, cozy place in Ozona. Breakfast and smoothies are great. We get the chocolate spinach smoothie! It's fantastic. It appears most, if not all of their items are organic. The food presentation and quality of their products are excellent. Service is usually pretty good. They greet you with Aloha when you enter. They have lunch and dinner hours on certain days, but I have not tried it yet.

I'm into this place. I give it a big Mahalo. I had a vegan friend from Portlandia in town so we hit the vegan friendly places. Ohana was already on my bucket list. This is a small, cute place, with a mix of relaxed brunchy cuisine and light Hawaiian fare. They have a Hula dancer on Fridays. Our servers were friendly and funny. Highlights include the cranberry slaw side and onion n tomato lomi lomi style side as well as their oversized and green filled falafel wrap. Would definitely come back. In fairness it's not high falutin cuisine just friendly Hawaiian and brunch lite fare in a casual atmosphere where free hugs are offered in a welcoming atmosphere with friendship served up along with your food.

3 stars for food flavor, but 4 stars for menu variety and cozy environment. Ohana is a small, quaint restaurant with minimal indoor seating and a nice covered outdoor patio. The menu is filled with different items that are often not found on standard breakfast menus. Many unique Hawaiian dishes, but they also have many organic, vegetarian, and vegan options, a side menu with different varieties of keifer, hemp milk, coconut cream, and a wide variety of smoothies made with spinach, dates, cacao, and hemp seeds. Their pancakes and popovers come with either maple syrup or macadamia nut cream (which was amazing). My meal was presented very nicely with fresh fruit, but the food was a little plain. I would like to come back and try lunch. Overall, it was a nice spot to relax over breakfast and try something new.

Wow, I was blown away by this place. I am the biggest carnivore that you would meat (see what I did there). I wouldn't say I am anti-gluten-free,but let's say they aren't for me and I tend to keep my distance. This was my first meal, EVER, that was 100% gluten-free. I got this gluten free strawberry-lime cider, which was amazing the taste of strawberries really came through. I also got the Poke in Paradise, which is sushi-grade Ahi marinated in their homemade "island style" sauce served over brown sushi rice. It was really good, they showed me that gluten-free doesn't mean taste-sacrificing. Also everyone there was extremely nice, smiling, and saying aloha. We went on Friday night, and they had someone hula dancing, which was really cool. and we sat outside which had a bunch of fans to keep the Florida heat at bay. From here on out I won't avoid gluten-free like the plague. The only bad thing is if you sit outside bring some bug spray. They sorely need to get some citronella candles. Both my girlfriend and I got eaten alive. It was so bad I had to drop them 1-star.

I love this place!!! If you are not local but looking for vegetarian if vegan choices if just healthy fresh food - go out of your way to try this place!!! You are greeted with "aloha" and a hug, service with a smile (why don't more places try this)? The pancakes are whole wheat and delicious!!! The lunch wraps are all amazing! They have a beautiful outdoor dining area under a huge tree tree, it's gorgeous! Every do often they gave a hula dancing night under the stars! This hidden gem is in Ozona, another quaint little town that mostly only locals know about! If you like to eat healthy, fresh, home cooked meals take a little drive and try this amazing small family run place, I'm sure you will fall in love like I have!!

After a long hot day spent at the beach, we wanted to try some of the locales over at Dunedin and found this quaint spot. Such a nice reminder of how awesome Hawaiian food is. Their take on the organic side of what can be quite unhealthy is incredible. We ordered the Loco Moco which was a bowl of white jasmine rice, bison party- deeeelish- organic fried egg and sautéed onions topped with gravy, and a poke bowl which consisted of brown sushi rice, ahi tuna and some of their "island style" sauce. We also ordered a kefir mango, cantaloupe and dates smoothie which went so well with balancing my loco Moco bowl that I poured some of the organic sriracha on. Will definitely be back when we're in the area. The island girl in me is jumping for joy!!

I couldn't get hubby to join me because I mentioned I was going to try their veggie burger. What's wrong with eating a veggie burger?! The 'Sunshine Vegetable Burger' is 4 inches thick. Whole grain buns hugs handful of baby spinach leaves, slices tomatoes and vegetable patty. The dish comes with boiled potato in cream sauce and veggie chips. I am so proud of myself because I ate it all. I enjoy the clean taste of this dish. I love meat burger, but I can survive eating veggie burgers. It is a lovely restaurant I have to say even though it locates in Ozona, a place doesn't have a zip code. Since the restaurant runs over the concept of healthy diet, most dishes use organic ingredients, gluten free and plenty vegetable. They do serve meat dishes as well with a twist of Hawaii flavor. It is a good option if you want to take your vegan friends for a meal. Parking space is limited and that is the reason it loss one star in this review.

Ohana has a lot of awesome qualities. Friendly people, relaxing atmosphere, organic healthy options, tasty food. Every time I've been, I have always really enjoyed my meal. If you have not gone, you must go and try some of their most popular items like their popover breakfast, pancakes w/ macadamia nut sauce, Hawaii 5-0 bison burger, they are delicious! Now for the 4 star instead of 5 star review part.. I'm only taking 1 star of for service, it's not good. I'm not talking about the little bit of wait time from the kitchen because there is some wait time, but the kitchen I believe is small and the place gets packed, that's understandable. They can only push a certain amount of food out at one time from the grill, and I don't mind the wait during peak hours because to me, my favorites are worth waiting for. It's the staff, and these are just my experiences lately. They're just too young and inexperienced, very forgetful and unorganized . Took a while to order. Lots of mistakes, not remembering to bring certain condiments that go with certain food items. My Worst complaint I have today is eating with my hands because I wasn't provided any silverware. There was only one on the table when I got there and there were 2 of us. That should have been the first thing a server notices when she asks how many, and should provide when he/she comes back with menus. Very important. If you're a server, you should know exactly what needs to be on the table before food even arrives like... #1Silverware, ketchup, sugar for coffee, the salt and pepper I had to get up and steal from another table. All these things we had to ask for, and my neighbor table asked us if they could borrow our ketchup because they were in need. We were all having the same problems and complaining about it to each other. It kind of became a joke between us all. I've been here before and live near so I've experienced this before, but the table behind me were first timers and I don't think they're coming back. We heard them talking about it. We ordered coffees which we had to bring to her attention that we ordered because she forgot. When we got them, Still had no sugar. She had to go back and get that. Had to bring to another girls attention if I could get silverware which I had forgot to tell my server about because there was just too much confusion going on. We both stirred our coffees with my friends butter knife because there wasn't a spoon in her setting. We didn't have anymore patience to now ask for a spoon, we both had not had any morning coffee yet so ain't nobody have time for that! Butter knife it was! When I finally received a silverware, I don't know where it was grabbed from, but by the way it was rolled, it looked used because it wasn't tight and there was a dot of ketchup on the napkin. Not good. Like I said, I love this place so I can't find it in my heart to give a bad score, my fave foods here are just too good, but I would highly suggest to the owner who is a very sweet lady to really think about re-training big time or hiring new experienced servers. It's sooo important for your business. She could be losing a lot of new, or old customers for that matter. There is no reason why her servers should be looking like they're chickens running around with their heads cut off. Especially, for as many as she had on the floor for such a small place. The only reason for that would be is because they are way too inexperienced and confused. Sweet, but confused.

I love this place! Their rice bowl is my favorite, although they have a lot of other delicious foods. The owner is so nice and makes me feel welcomed every time I come to dine in. I would recommend this place to those who want good food and excellent customer service!

Ohana Cafe is definitely a little gem. I have been there two times - once on a Friday night for dinner and the second time being today for lunch. Both times I ordered eggs and the Popovers - which were phenomenal! My husband ordered the Sunshine Burger, which I was told was equally amazing. Service was great, staff was friendly, and atmosphere was very peaceful and enjoyable. Seating is primarily outdoors and on Friday night they have a hula dancer, audience participation is encouraged, and if you do it is so much fun! Perfect place for vegetarians and people who are gluten free because the options are plentiful! All in all its a great place and the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was because today when I went the service was incredibly slow and our server didn't have the nicest attitude. Very different from the first time I went, so I am hoping it was a one time occurrence. Overall, I really like Ohana's and I recommend you try it as well!

We have been there many times for breakfast, food is always excellent, with super ingredients, the staff could not be friendlier, especially The owners, The only drawback is you need to have a lot of time if you are going to eat there, we would go more often but many times we just don't have that much time to sit and relax and have breakfast as life is alittle to busy to sit 2-3 hours on. Busy weekend. This is the only reason for my 4 star rating because as far as everything else is concerned they deserve a 5 star rating

Well this is my new favorite place. I got the gluten free pancakes with macadamia sauce (I have no clue what it's made out of but it's incredible) and the chocolate spinach smoothie. The price might be considered high by some but it's worth it in the end. They were so nice and helpful on the phone, such a relief from other places around here when you're gluten free, dairy free, and egg free. You have my business all the time. :)

I have been a few times and am addicted to their veggie sandwich and slaw. The food is so good! They have an amazing organic menu that doesn't disappoint. The service has been a little off a couple of times but everyone was really nice. I think they just may have been a little short handed which happens so it's not a big deal. If healthy eating is important to you as it is to me, this is a place you definitely want to frequent.

This place has friendly staff and great food at a upper end price. Nested in quiet little Ozona. This place has style and flavor thats hard to beat. I had the ground beef on rice with gravy dish. It was different but good. Hubby had a wrap and complained of too much lettuce, that just took over the entire thing. Id like to go back and try the pancakes that everyone talks about but getting hubby to go again may be difficult.

We came to Ohana for a Sunday brunch. We arrived around 9:30 and fortunately it wasn't too crowded yet. I started with coffee with coconut creamer, which was tasty. We ordered the breakfast burrito with egg whites and turkey bacon and the popover meal with macadamia nut sauce. After the waitress left, I wanted the pancakes instead of the popovers, so hubs went inside and asked if she could change the order. She said no problem, she hadn't even put it in yet. We waited...and waited...AND WAITED for our food. Our server told us our food would be out soon, then 10 minutes later said 5 more minutes. 5 minutes passed, no food. Then people next to us got their meal, and they didn't even sit down until AFTER we ordered. They even commented to the waitress that they felt bad they got our food before us. Finally, our meal came out about 5 minutes after that. Go figure....we got the popovers, not the pancakes. So much for "sure no problem, I didn't even put in the order yet." The food was very good...the popovers were really tasty, as was the macadamia nut sauce (which I'm glad we ordered on the side because it was super sweet). The side of an egg seemed unnecessary. The quinoa breakfast wrap was huge with mostly greens. The quinoa salad had a lot of flavor and the flavor of the turkey bacon was almost entirely masked, so I wouldn't recommend that add-on (our waitress did). Overall, the meal was good. It was a nice healthy brunch and I appreciate the ability to order a hearty meal of all organic ingredients that won't break the calorie bank. But the service was truly lacking. All the employees were super nice, but the wait for our food (without any offer to comp something, anything) and the fact that we ended up getting the popovers rather than the pancakes were real disappointments. I would return, but only if I have my patience cap on. Update: I received a message from the owner, Teresa, mere hours after writing my review. She was apologetic and offered us to return and give the cafe another shot. Excellent customer service...I look forward to returning and hopefully upping my review to 5 stars!

Very impressed with this little gem. I have never been to this area before and came seeking the gluten free food. I started with the vegan lime coconut soup and was very impressed with the unique flavors. My main dish had chicken and cabbage and was served over rice. Reminded me of something I ordered in Maui. My mom tried the vegan tacos and raved about the flavors. Ended the evening with two chocolate gluten free cupcakes :) I would call ahead if you want to sit outside or have more than two in your party. Also we really enjoyed the hula dancers! Check the website to see their schedule. Would love to come back here for brunch.

Fresh, unique and run by a sweet group of people-this is how I would rate Ohana Cafe. We arrived around 930 and were the second table there. The menu offers nothing but fresh food with a unique Hawaii flare. I opted for the macadamia nut pancakes. These were NOT bisquick pancakes, there were fresh homemade batter with a delicious warm macadamia nut sauce-do divine. The husband ordered a veggie black bean quinoa burrito. EVERYTHING was fresh-no frozen veggies here. The pricing is a couple of dollars more than an ihop but you're getting quality. We will definitely be back. Plus the little town of Ozona is adorable.

This place is a real gem in Ozona! It has been popping up on my yelp search for awhile now and I finally made the stop in Friday evening for dinner. First off, probably the friendliest wait staff I have ever encountered. Smiling faces and "aloha!"s are abundant. You get a strong sense that the entire staff takes wellness to heart. It's their passion, not a gimmick. It was a really gorgeous evening, so we sat outside on there spacious patio which had plenty of shaded cover and fans to keep you cool in the FL sun. Everything is fresh and organic. We started out with gluten free beer (hooray!) and the hummus appetizer that comes with assorted veggies and gluten free crackers. The hummus was delicious. You can taste the fresh lemon juice! Perfect consistency and a large portion. We ended up taking quite a bit home with us. For dinner I had the DaKine Bowl. So much great food! I was expecting probably a third of the portion I got. It wasn't just a large dinner, it was also very tasty and well seasoned. Plenty of rice and beans to go. I will definitely be back to not only to try their homemade kefir (!) but also some of their awesome sounding gluten free selections and delights.

You get a free hug when you walk in the door. Organic food, lots of vegetarian, vegan and glutten free options. Had the Vegan Falafel Wrap, it was huge and I had trouble finishing it before I got full. Still managed to force myself to try a few desserts which were AWESOME. I don't believe they were truly vegan, they were too good. Closed on Mondays.

This burger was very good. I love to find a great meal, yet rarely find things that I would rank highly. This was a very unique taste with a perfect blend of flavor and fresh ingredients. The best meal of my trip for sure. The staff were super nice too! Well worth the drive from Clearwater Beach. If you're in the area, you'd be crazy not to stop in.

Great place for breakfast and lunch but dinner is up for debate. Party of 5 and my wife and I had vegan tacos and black bean burrito. Both were presented well but had little flavor needed more spices/sauce. Others in party had breakfast for dinner and loved it. They have this "popover" pastry dish which is a one of a kind breakfast/dessert meal that is gluten free but doesn't taste like it! My daughter thinks they look like Hawaiian volcanoes. The macadamia sauce is amazing.

Great Food, Organic & Gluten Free Options readily available. Casual Atmosphere that helps transport you to the Island of Hawaii - even if it is just for an Hour during Lunch. Friday night Hula shows are also a hit with Young & Old alike. The service is excellent, You can beat Free Hugs from Mama or the Owner, Teresa! ... I'm now craving popovers. mmmmmmmm

We love it here! I gave 2 high schoolers and they enjoy the food as much as the adults do. The buffalo rice bowl w an egg is my favorite. The staff really are sweet & welcoming. Even provided a blanket when I was chilly outside one night. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Tried this with the family on Saturday and was a little nervous as it's always hard to please a group. This place is fantastic and I'm very sad it's so far away. Everything on their menu is organic and made to order. I really wanted to try the walnut pancakes but settled on the bison burger instead. This thing is huge! I did have a hard time getting it into my mouth. I was a little timid on my colada smoothie as I'm not a fan of green things, but it was so light & refreshing. I can't wait to try this place again. It was awesomely delicious

Extremely friendly staff and very good food. Just moved to the area from Alaska and glad to have found this place. Will definite be coming back many times. Love how everything on the menu is healthy for you. Easy to get to and has a nice seating area. GO HERE

What a neat place to just have pop out at you. I love YELP 's nearby ap, I use it all the time! This independent restaurant is the bomb! The owner, the staff, the food all perfect! After my morning hug, great way to start the day, I placed my order & waited with high expectations. I ordered the chicken apple sausage with pancakes, with macadamia sauce, both of these were firsts for me. My expectations were exceeded. The sausage was juicy and had good seasing making it very flavorful. The pancakes were light and airy, but the macadamia sauce was truly inspired, I love it. This is such a nice change from syrup! I can't wait to go back and experiment with more of their great, uncommon offerings. A truly enjoyable experience. Their menu has many gluten-free options and most selections seemed very hralthy. What's a girl to do? Keep on the lookout for independently owned restaurants & try different cuisines

Teresa was great today. We had a Sunday brunch on Easter. The patio was amazing! The whole family was present. It was a great time and Hawaiian food was amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Can't say enough about Ohana. Anytime I am in the area, we make a point to stop in, and try something new. I have loved everything I have ordered so far. The kids love the pizza, or the pancakes. I am in love with the Loco Moco.

Love the gluten-free options, especially with breakfast dishes. My GF pop-overs with macadamia nut sauce was quite a treat. Perhaps the best items available are the green smoothies, which were delicious! Service is good. Prices are slightly high, but they are buying higher quality ingredients.

I'm torn between a 3 or a 4. I would say it's somewhere in between. The atmosphere here is nice. There's outdoor and indoor seats and they love dogs here. It's also very kid friendly. The service is definitely and issue. The servers don't seem very attentive. Also the food take forever to come out. It took about an hour for our order to come out. I'm not expecting an order to come out right away but if it takes 30 minutes for them to bring out the coffee and 15 minutes for the other drinks. The service has room to improve. The saving grace though is what I came here for; the food. The food is very good. The service almost made me not hungry though. Therefore, today, I give this place a 3, but it has the potential to get a 5.

This was delicious! It had something for everyone in my family from vegan gluten free to the meat eaters. High quality, fresh organic, etc. I had the Sunshine burger and it was divine. The server was super friendly too. We will go back!

Such a unique place for breakfast/brunch/lunch! I loved the atmosphere. We decided to sit outside on the patio, and were offered multiple times if we would like blankets or the heaters turned on, since it was a chilly day. The mimosas were super yummy, the hummus and veggies super fresh, and the whole menu has a variety of very unique things you don't find other places, with healthy, vegan & gluten free options. The prices are also very reasonable for the higher quality (organic and fresh) foods they offer. The staff is very friendly, it's a very homey feeling restaurant.

Love this place! So warm and welcoming. You are always greeted with an aloha and a hug! Where else can you get free hugs with your meal? Great vegetarian or gluten-free options. Cupcakes are delish!

Warm and welcoming, positive vibes, adorable health-conscious restaurant tucked away in Ozona. I ordered the Loco Moco - bowl of brown rice, buffalo patty, grilled onions, brown gluten free gravy, on a bed of spinach. Typically comes with a fried egg on top but I requested without. I found it to be very bland, absolutely no seasoning in anything (perhaps the egg would have given it some flavor?). The soup of the day was lime coconut which was a hearty bowl of carrots, zucchini, and chick peas with shredded coconut mixed in. I did not taste a hint of lime and I guess I was thinking it was going to be a thai coconut milk type soup (which would not have been healthy). The BF ordered the Vegan Falafel Wrap - a huge burrito shell filled with tons (maybe 3-4 cups?) of spinach, tomatoes, onion slices, and a thin patty of baked falafel, with a side of Lebanese sauce (a tahini lime mix). Not your typical falafel sandwich - the ratio of spinach to falafel was 10:1 and I missed the crispiness of a typical fried falafel ball vs. mushy healthy baked version. Accompanied by a wonderful coleslaw with sliced almonds and cranberries (delicious!) and Veggie Straws (like the processed kind of out of a bag - found these a super odd choice for such a 'clean' food restaurant). For dessert we tried the red velvet cupcake and popover with macadamia sauce - both were amazing, especially for vegan desserts. Want to love this place because it's amazing conceptually and the owner is so sweet. I love that they offer healthy organic vegan options. I think it's a little too healthy for my palate and perhaps I am addicted to sodium? ;)

Thank goodness I went to the recent yelp event, or else I never would have found out about these guys. They have THE BEST kale salad I have ever had. Their gluten free cupcake was also pretty good too! I cant wait to visit them again and try something new. :D

Cool vibe Love the atmosphere here first and for most. I haven't been to Hawaii but my fiance has and he said the vibe is exactly spot on with the cafe's in Hawaii. The food is healthy and there are a lot of vegetarian options. Had a quick lunch here but can't wait to try brunch here soon.

Fresh, healthy food which actually tastes great! Their only setback is the service. Although always friendly, it's consistently slow. Maybe it's the kitchen, or a combination of both but either way if you don't run on island time you will be disappointed.

Food is great -- when you can get it. We used to be regulars here but we won't be back. On more than one occasion, we've left without ordering because we can't get a server to acknowledge us. We just walked out after waiting more than 15 minutes. We watched servers standing around and then taking orders from people who JUST SAT DOWN. This was our last time going here.

Stopped here for breakfast one Saturday morning. What a cute place! I knew it was right up my alley when our server asked if I wanted coconut milk creamer for my coffee. We ordered the black bean & quinoa breakfast burrito and the pancakes with macadamia nut sauce. The burrito was packed with fresh spinach, which was nice, but seemed to overwhelm the other ingredients. Otherwise it tasted good and was huge! The macadamia pancakes were absolutely amazing. We are vegetarians leaning vegan, so I truly appreciate everything being clearly marked on the menu. We will definitely head back sometime for lunch or dinner!

Stellar service, you really feel like family and in that regard, it lives up to its name of Ohana. Makes me enjoy going back for more! The food is not pricey considering it's mostly organic and all over healthy. Tastes really good but not amazing. It's one of the better places in the area, and they boast live hula! Try finding that anywhere else. One thing to remember: IT'S CLOSED ON MONDAYS! (I have been there like 5 times wanting dinner on Monday.)

  • Frank P.

We've been there before. If you want gluten free and vegan offerings, this is the place to be. Service is good and friendly but can be slow because of their food preparation. They served 6 for dinner and everything turned out good. I would suggest that they buy a wine refrigerator for their Reds. It would go a long way. My wine was good, but warm which defeats the purpose of drinking reds. If your charging 8 dollars a glass, it needs to be slightly chilled at about 61 degrees.

This place is a gem! They have something for everyone. Brought the whole family and we all left with a full belly and a big smile. The hula show on Friday nights is a must! Also they have live music on Saturday nights. New favorite place.

Took over an hour to get our sandwiches, and there were only two of us. I get that it's all "fresh and made to order" but other restaurants have this concept too and do not take so long. I want to like it because the staff is so friendly and the food is good but the wait time is just ridiculous.

My new favorite, vegan and organic foods that are so very VERY TASTY. Extremely friendly employees, greeted with a smile and a big Hug and an ALOHA!! Feels like home...TONS of food!! Definitely worth the money.....I give them a million stars....waiters Clayton and Tomiya are so helpful with any questions about the menu. Service was AWESOME

We love Ohana for breakfast and lunch. The food is amazing and they have the most wonderful staff around. Great smoothies, along with omelets, pan cakes, and a great gluten-free turnover for brekkie. Sit outside on the delightful patio with you favorite canine companions. All this and a hug before you leave.

What a delightful surprise!! We were visiting Clearwater for a few days and turned to Yelp to help us find an organic restaurant nearby for dinner. Yelp really scored!! If you are looking for great quality organic and/or vegan/gluten free food, in a quaint homey atmosphere, this is the place!! And not too far from Clearwater , in Palm Harbor. On the evening we had dinner there, live musicians were playing a nice mix of relaxing and fun music on their guitars. The cafe has a very nice wine and beer list with organic selections, and a delicious variety of choices for your meal. And to top it off they offered a delicious gluten free cupcake! We can't wait to go back!...and definitely will on our next trip to the area!

It's a bit out of the way for most in the Tampa Bay area, but well worth the drive from wherever!! My first home in Tampa was about an hour and fifteen minutes away and I still made the drive at least once a month to eat at this locally owned place. The food is fresh and offers organic, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Their soups (which change daily) are always delicious and I highly recommend trying out the Dakine Bowl! Regardless of what you chose you can't go wrong!!!

What a cool place! How can you complain when you get a big hug from the owner when you walk in? She's super-nice and it was kind of neat to be greeted like that. This place is hidden away in sleepy Ozona, next to Molly Goodheads. You might miss it if you aren't looking for it. We sat on the outdoor patio, which is a beautiful area underneath some oak trees. It's a tropical setting with a garden attached too. Very serene. The menu is mostly organic food, and has a good variety of vegetarian/vegan options too. There are meat dishes - it's not a pure vegetarian restaurant. We ordered the hummus, which was very fresh, very good, and very large. I had the Falafel Wrap, which had crispy fried falafel inside of a spinach wrap, with assorted veggies. It also had a Lebanese sauce, which was really good, but I can't really explain it. The cole slaw it came with was REALLY good too. It has cranberries and sliced almonds, and the sauce was just sweet enough to be awesome. Our server was really nice and explained the menu. The food came out pretty quickly too. Our only complaint is that it took a long time to pay the bill. We waited for quite a while. We went on a Thursday night so it was not at all busy. Friday and Saturday nights are very busy apparently, due to the live music, and reservations are recommended.

I stopped in to get lunch to-go on a weekday recently. The food took a while to cook, about 35 minutes from the time I called to order, but I suppose quality food does take some time. The owner greeted me when I came in and was very friendly, that was a refreshing experience. I ordered a Hawaii 5-0 sandwich, which was a grilled buffalo patty on wheat bread with cheese, tomato and lettuce on top. The buffalo had excellent seasoning and was even more delicious than a beef burger, although I do wish I had ordered a different bread with it, as the wheat wasn't a very good match. I may stop by again sometime if the opportunity presents itself, but I'm not over-the-top excited to go back again.

I went to Ohana with my wife for breakfast. I had heard good things about Ohana and thought we should give it a shot. We both ordered the popup breakfast. It was ok, not great by any means. For 10.95 I got two popups which are fairly small and hollow, 1 egg, and 2 pieces of turkey bacon. In my book $10.95 for that is on the expensive side. I do not really care that the egg and turkey are organic and nitrate free, it is still expensive. I do have to say the coffee is very tasty, however it costs $2.50 add tip for a grand total of around $32. I'm sorry but for the amount of food you get $32 is ridiculous. I may go back and try dinner at some point but I'm not sure my wallet can take another hit like that for the amount of food you get. Overall I just wasn't that impressed with Ohana. If you have a place you really like for breakfast just keep going there.

Recently visited on a Friday night and had a great meal and experience. Started with a white organic white- very nice for a "green" wine. Ordered the Banh Mi special and Mahi Tacos. Food was delicious. Real, wholesome ingredients. You can tell the owner and kitchen care about the food. Enjoyed the nice music on the well-put-together patio, too. We'll definitely be back.

I really don't know where to start. You will be greeted in a warm Hawaiian way! Suffice to say, it can be very tasty and fun to eat healthy! Breakfast choices include Oatmeal Pancakes, (try the Organic Macadamia Nut Sauce as a change from Maple Syrup), the Loco Moco (a bowl with your choice of Basmati brown rice or Jasmine white rice with a lean free range buffalo patty, an organic egg over easy, grilled onions and smothered with brown gluten free gravy!), the turkey omelette is great, and the Haole breakfast will satisfy any guest who is not in the mood to be adventurous. But I suggest you explore. The menu is healthy comfort food with smoothies to match. I go every Sunday as it is only 5 minutes from where I live. I know, it's rough. Did I mention Hula and Drum shows on the weekends? BUT, if you are in the area, you must try Ohana! Teresa is such a gracious owner/host and "Mom" is so delightful that you will keep wanting to come back for the warm fuzzies! A-LO-ha!

We were in Pinellas visiting and needed a place for a late breakfast early lunch. Our young guest was staying in Dunedin and since that town is very small we figured we'd venture to the next town up and show her something she may not have seen already. Orange St has 3 interesting places to eat so we parked and checked all of the menus out, and our conclusion was that Ohana looked very interesting and it helped that the mobile Yelp app had mostly positive things to say about Ohana. As soon as anyone walks in, you are greeted with friendly Hawaiian hello's and can see instantly that this is a cozy comfortable place that leans towards the healthy side. Even if you are not a vegan (none of us are), there is plenty on the menu to order and we all quickly were able to order. Attached to the restaurant are a yoga studio and a place where you can get some gifts, so we were able to pass the time while we waited for our meal. We had read in some of the reviews that the service could be a bit slow, but we didn't find that at all (perhaps 20 minutes for a breakfast cooked to order) and our water glasses were kept full, which was helpful given our early morning run. Two of us tried the Ohana breakfast which includes pancakes, two strips of 'nitrate free' bacon, a small slice of watermelon and a choice which included red potato home fries which I selected. They also cover the pancakes with a macadamia nut dressing which is actually pretty rich and if I had to do it again would have been ordered on the side, but even as it is, was delicious and really filling. With this being a late morning breakfast, I didn't feel like eating anything until at least 5pm and this ended up being my largest meal that day. I've heard that later in the day they have musicians which I assume perform in the courtyard. That is not my thing, as I prefer to just have the background music (which was excellent BTW) and be able to speak with my guests, but I am sure others enjoy it so figured I'd mention it. Overall, an excellent experience. We have other friends who coincidentally live very close by and when we called them they said they eat there all the time and agree that it is excellent. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

Great vegan and healthy options. They even have coconut cream for your coffee, but you should know the coconut cream is vanilla flavored, so no sweetener needed. Yum!

One of my favorite restaurants in Tampa Bay, Ohana has a soothing atmosphere with one of the friendliest staffs around. Often you'll be welcomed with an "Aloha" and a hug. The food is fresh, healthy and delicious. They specialize in vegerarian, organic and gluten-free choices, all with a Hawaiian flavor, but there are still high-caolorie options for those that aren't into healthy eating. A few tips: The service can be on the slow side, but you're on island time here so deal with it. The prices are high, but that's because it's natural and often organic. And if you go on hula night, expect a wait unless you have reservations. All in all, this is a very special place that you have to experience to truly appreciate.

If you feel like being healthy and the weather is favorable, there is no better place to enjoy outdoor seating while slurping down a berry smoothie. If you are not feeling the healthy vibe, the Hawaiian pastry dish they have there (Popovers) are absolutely to die for, with a macadamia nut glaze (YUM!). Great little place and highly recommended for breakfast or lunch.

A unique health conscience menu and outdoor setting make this arty and different eatery worth a visit. Atmosphere 75 (if it is your taste and you like outdoors) Service 75 ( a throw back to the 1960s - ultra friendly) Food 90 (what we eat was darn good and healthy too) Value 80 (if you are interested in different food) A niche eatery that combines tasty dishes with healthy choices. A very rare commodity. A Tampa Bay Times 2012 top 50.

I happen to like the atmosphere, but I have been three times and I've got to say that the food kinda sucks and the wait staff is weird. Really.
